Saves The Day: "Rendezvous"

Mit "Rendezvous" haben Saves The Day einen Vorgeschmack auf ihr neuntes Studioalbum online gestellt, das im Oktober bei Equal Vision Records erscheint.

Petrol Girls: Sisters-Video

Am 14. September werden Petrol Girls via Hassle Records ihre neue 3 Song-EP "The Future Is Dark" veröffentlichen, aus welchem sie nun den Song "Sister" inklusive Musikvideo online gestellt haben.
Sänger Ren Aldridge dazu:
“I’ve been wanting for us to write a song about sisterhood for a long time, because it’s these relationships that have had the biggest impact on my life and that form the heart of my feminism. I’ve got two younger blood sisters and a few very close friends that I consider sisters, as well as our family dog Skye who passed away last summer but I loved her like a sister too. All of those relationships have taught me so much. They’ve guided me, taken care of me, made me laugh til I cry and nurtured me into better versions of myself. I think society often puts too much emphasis on sexual relationships when sisterhood is incredibly important and powerful. This song celebrates a relationship that can pose a real threat to capitalism and patriarchy because it challenges competition and is built on care and trust.”

Thrice mit Lyric-Video zu "Only Us"

Nach "The Grey“ bringen Thrice mit dem Album-Opener "Only Us" einen weiteren Song mitsamt Lyric-Video aus ihrem am 14.09. auf Epitaph erscheinenden neuen Longplayer "Palms" heraus.
Frontmann Dustin Kenstrue kommentiert:
“‘Only Us’ came from thinking about how we’re so easily divided into ‘us’ and ‘them,’ when really we have an inherent ability to care for those in our group, and the parameters for who falls into that group are extremely flexible. It’s about how the things that we think separate us are actually inconsequential, and if we could broaden the idea of ‘us’ to include all people, it would help us to build a more loving and civil society.”

Hands Like Houses: Monster

Hands Like Houses bringen im Oktober ihr neues Album "Anon" bei Hopeless heraus, jetzt steht der Song "Monster" inklusive farbenfroh-psychedelischem Video online.

Chad Price: Solo-Album

Chad Price – bekannt als Sänger von All und Drag The River – bringt noch diesen Monat ein Solo-Album auf Joey Capes Label One Week Records heraus. Wer wissen will wie es klingt kann sich vorab schon mal den Song „Ice“ anhören.
